The design of this fan was mad. Sure it looks great but who thought that it was a good idea to attach the fan blades through a small access plate at the top of the motor was ridiculous. I have installed many fans before but never saw this dumb idea for blade attachment before. Let’s start first with the ceiling mount. It was wider than a standard junction box so the holes did not align with the round junction box holes you would find in many ceilings. So I hand to improvise by using a toggle bolt( not included) for one of the holes. But the worst part was the fan blade attachment. It shows attaching the from the top of the motor through a small access plate by rotating the motor blades as you go. So in order to place the screws you will need a special screwdriver that holds the screw as you are screwing downward. Unable to see the holes while trying to hold the blade in place. You would need 3 hands. One to hold the blade, 1 to hold a flashlight and 1 to hold the screwdriver. After 1 very frustrating hour I decided to take down the fan, disassemble the top motor housing cover and attach the fan blades on the floor. Then reassemble and hang it. Total time was almost 3 hours.It takes awhile to assemble but put the screws in the blades loose the tighten them when they are installed on the blade. It’s modern & quite. They’re are 3 different led lighting modes which is different. Used in the bedroom & works great even with vaulted ceiling’s.My first fan broke and they replaced the entire thing because there's a 2-year unlimited warranty on the unit. So instead of replacing the part, they replaced the entire thing for free.great product great priceIt was the most difficult to install the blades in the way we had to do it. I will not buy this particular model again because of how hard it was to install. Other wise the fan and light itself, I love it, beautiful to look at and the light is so nice and bright. The remote works great even though we do not need to use it, with the switch on the wall, we are use to it.I was afraid when I ordered the bedroom fan and light would be like this one, since it was from the same company, but installation was different. Thank goodness.Pros: Fan looks great once up and gives off a lot of bright light and good air movement.Cons:1. impossible to put together, fan has a small window big enough for three fingers with a swinging "door" you have to put a screwdriver in this window and screw in three screws per fan blade, two of them at an angle. It is poorly designed to say the least! Make sure you have a magnetic tip screw driver and patience.2. First night of use fan was making a lot of noise at intervals after adjusting the fan four times it finally stopped.3. To use light you have to cycle through the different LED settings, we like the bright blueish light which is third so we have to cycle through each time. Would have been nice to either have a switch to choose or a setting on the remote.Very quiet
